DISSEMINATION OF CENSUS 2014 AND NSDS 2015 FINDINDS TO ANKOLE SUB – REGION

Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) and Ministry of Public Service, conducted a dissemination exercise for both Census 2014 and the National Service Delivery Survey 2015 Results for the Ankole Sub region on 31^st August, 2016 at Mbarara District Council Hall. Ankole Sub Region is comprised of 10 Districts namely: Mbarara, Ntungamo, Isingiro, Kiruhura, Ibanda, Sheema, Mitooma, Buhweju, Rubirizi and Bushenyi. 

In his remarks, the Executive Director UBOS Dr. Ben Paul Mungyereza called upon all members of this sub region in their respective districts to effectively use both the Census and NSDS results for proper planning and budgeting. He also stressed the need to increase information sharing amongst all stakeholders of the Local Governments. 

Representatives from the 10 districts that attended the dissemination exercise included: CAOs, LCV Chairpersons, District Planners, Secretaries for Production and Social Services, DCDOs, District Census Officers, Town Clerks, HODs, RDC Mbarara, Religious and Cultural Leaders.
